as spring unfold i begin to notice that as we approached the last day of Sesshin (intensive meditation training) I was glad no-one died (keep the bar low).
Since then, I still plan and prepare my meditation practice. Things change.
Old students departing to new grounds and new students arriving .. it reminds me of seeding for new plants to grow. Sometimes, the seeds that we sow do flourish and thrive; sometimes these seeds struggle to survive - and sometimes the seeds wither and die. Many ideas never come to actual fruition. Plenty of plans do fall to pieces. It is important to balance realism with dreaming, aspirations with pragmatism, reasonableness with vision.
Meanwhile try also to enjoy the spring and always look out for new seeds to plant.
